This is the first block out of the 5. (You can sign up for only this ocurse, to get a taster, and decide afterwards if you want to do the rest).

In this block you will get to know this wonderful method that gives you access to what you know, your inner voice, and to more compassion and self-compassion, openness and spaciousness, in encountering your own and others’ inner world.

You will also learn the basics of a Sensing Partnership: The supportive experience of having a listener who is non-intrusive, and who doesn’t give advice or opinions, as well as the challenging, but liberating experience of offering listening in this way.

The goal of this course is to start getting to know this method and its underlying theories and concepts, like Felt Sense, trying out Sensing Partnership, and experiencing this particular, welcoming and warmly curious way of listening to yourself and others

2. The With-Senser (listener)

This is the second course of the 5, building on th first, where we go deeper into the With-Senser’s role.

You will get to know the interesting way of listening without being responsible, and the liberation of being of help without having to know details of the other person’s content.

We explore ways of responding and reflecting as ways of supporting the Felt Senser without being intrusive to, but rather trusting in, the process.

The goal of this course is to become safer in the role of listener, and to be able to ‘lean into’ and trusting the Felt Sensing process.

3. The Body in Felt Sensing

This is the third of the five courses that together constitute the Felt Sensing-Training. In this course we learn what “body” and “surroundings” are in Telt Awnsing, and go deeper into “togetherness” and teh “We-space”.

We get to know more about why and how Gendlin claims that we can know “more” with our body than with our minds, and why it is useful to turn towards that which has not yet formed. We will discover that it is not necessary to be verbal or to always have to put into words what arises in Felt Sensing.

One goal is to get to feel more safe in your own body through Felt Sensing, and with your own expressions and feelings, as well as being in a “we”, both in Sensing Partnership and in life in general.

Prerequisite: The two first blocks of the training.

Topics

  • What is “the body” in Felt Sensing?
  • The connection to the world in Felt Sensing
  • How to be with that which comes without words
  • Gestures, movements and positions in Felt-Sensing
  • Comfortability with the body
  • The We-space

Teaching methods

  • Sharing of theory
  • Demonstrations
  • Group discussions
  • Exercises and trying out in the group

We will look at Gendlin’s concepts of Felt Sense and Felt sense in more detail, to know what it is that we are listening for, and how we can take inn and enjoy when change happens in the body.

The goal is to feel even safer in the contact within, seeing the healing effect of acceptance, and discover that there is much “life” also in that which seems stuck, dark and scary, and even that which seems dead

Prerequisite: 3 first courses of the training

Topics

  • What is clear in what’s unclear
  • Being on an “edge” together
  • Life forward movemnet

5. Critical voices and other obstacles. Felt Sensing in everyday life.

This is the last of the 5 courses, and we will learn about trouble and obstacles that can arise in the Felt Sensing process, like inner criticism and resistance. We will also look at how to bring Felt Sensing into everyday life, and get a taste of a few other approches to Felt Sensing.

The goal is to feel even safer in the contact within, seeing the healing effect of acceptance, and discover that there is much “life” also in that which seems stuck, dark and scary, and even that which seems dead
